Last questions before you set up your league
Do I need an official handicap to play?
No. You can use your federation license if you have one, or a handicap the app calculates for you based on your group's own rules — especially in pools, where the handicap adjusts with the pot's balance.
How much does it cost to create a league?
Creating tournaments is free. The per-player league mode costs €10 per player per season. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
Does it work for large groups, 50+ players?
Yes. TSGC has no player cap — there are already active leagues and pools with more than 50 players competing in the same season, something most friends'-league apps don't support.
How many scorecards count toward the ranking?
All of them, only the best N, or whichever ones each player chooses to submit — with a buy-back to swap out the worst card once a better one comes in, either automatic or spending a token.
What limits can I set to prevent handicap manipulation?
A minimum score for a card to count, minimum participation to enter the ranking, a quota of cards that must come from an official tournament, a cut between rounds, or a player cap.
What else can earn points besides the round's score?
Internal tournaments that award extra points by position, with their own multiplier. Stableford bonuses, and hole prizes: nearest to the pin, longest drive, eagle or hole-in-one.
How does the Stableford points system work?
Stableford with handicap lets players of different levels compete on equal footing. You start with your official federation handicap (or your own) and it updates with the WHS algorithm after every scorecard you submit. When the round ends, points calculate themselves — no calculators, no arguments.
How do I create a tournament inside my league?
Choose the format (Stableford, Stroke Play, Skins or Match Play), search for the course in our database, invite players from the app, and once it's done, points are added to the overall ranking automatically with no manual calculations.
